Richmond is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city is situated on the boundary between Macomb County and St. Clair County. Most of the city is located in Macomb County, though there is a small portion in St. Clair County. The city is adjacent to Richmond Township in Macomb County, although it is politically independent. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,897.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.6 km2 (3.0 mi2). 7.5 km2 (2.9 mi2) of it is land and 0.2 km2 (0.1 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 2.03% water.
